About the company

Our client is a large, well-funded data infrastructure company whose platform moves customer data out of the warehouse and into the tools business teams use every day. They are around 350 people, have raised over $320M, and have been building since 2018 — so this is a company well past the scrappy stage, with real customers, real scale and a serious engineering bar. The team hires senior and is deliberate about it: they look for engineers who have grown quickly somewhere hard, and they care as much about trajectory as about the current title.

The role

This is a senior full-stack product engineering role on a customer-facing surface, working in short feedback loops with the people who actually use the product. You would own features end to end — the API and data model underneath, the migrations that get you there, and the frontend that makes it usable — rather than being handed a spec for one layer. The frontend expectation is real: they want someone who can independently lead and architect complex frontend systems, not someone who treats the UI as an afterthought. The role is fully remote within Canada.

What you'll do

Own customer-facing product features end to end — data model, API, migrations and the interface on top
Independently lead and architect complex frontend systems rather than implementing someone else's design
Design and evolve backend APIs and data models that sit directly on customers' warehouse data
Work in fast feedback loops with real users, shipping and iterating rather than batching releases
Write the SQL and think about query performance — the data layer is the product here, not plumbing
Hold a high engineering bar in code review and design discussion, as one of several senior hires on the team

What we're looking for

These are hard requirements. Check each one that applies to you.

I have 5 to 12 years of software engineering experience and work at senior level or above
I am a genuine full-stack engineer — API design, database migrations, table design, solid SQL and quality frontend UIs
I am strong in TypeScript and SQL, with some Go, and I understand backend API design and data models
I can independently lead and architect complex frontend systems
I have spent 2+ recent years at a fast-paced Series A to D startup building SaaS products to a high engineering bar
I have 2+ years of tenure in at least one of my last two roles, and a clear trajectory of growth such as early ownership or promotion
I have built customer-facing products and am used to fast feedback loops
I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, Physics or Electrical Engineering from a top-40 university
I can work from Canada, needing either no sponsorship or only a visa transfer

Tech stack

React and TypeScript on the front end, Go on the back end, and SQL throughout. Because the product sits directly on the customer's data warehouse, data modelling and query performance matter as much as interface craft — you are expected to be comfortable on both sides of that line.
