About the company

Our client is a Series A vertical-SaaS company building the operating system for waste-hauling businesses — CRM, dispatch, billing, call handling, and route optimization in one AI-powered platform. Founded in 2022, around 20 people, with $11M raised. They sell into a traditionally offline, blue-collar industry that most software companies ignore, and the product's value is unusually concrete: more revenue from digital ordering, hours of rote customer-service work removed each week, fuel saved through better routing, and faster payment collection.

The role

This is the first GTM Engineer hire — a technical seat on the revenue side rather than a sales or marketing one. You'd own the tooling and automation that lets a small team sell into a large, fragmented, offline market: the CRM data model, the workflows and integrations around it, and the custom code that fills the gaps no off-the-shelf tool covers. The bar is genuinely both halves — people who only write code but have never sat with a revenue team, and people who only wire up no-code tools but can't ship production code, are both explicit passes.

What you'll do

  • Build and own the GTM tooling and automation stack end to end
  • Own the CRM as a system — data models, workflows, and integrations, not just administration
  • Write production code (Python, TypeScript, SQL) for the parts no off-the-shelf tool covers
  • Wire up no-code and workflow automation (n8n, Make, Zapier) where that's the faster path
  • Partner directly with the revenue team on pipeline, outbound, and reporting problems
  • Instrument the funnel so the team can see what's actually working

Nice to have

  • Experience in vertical SaaS
  • Experience selling into or building for a blue-collar industry

Tech stack

  • TypeScript and Python
  • SQL
  • HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Zapier, n8n, Make
  • Slack

Before you apply

  • This role is deliberately half engineering, half go-to-market. A pure engineer with no exposure to a revenue team isn't a fit, and neither is someone who works only in no-code tools and can't write production code.
  • Only large-company experience, with no startup ownership, is also a pass — this is a first-in-seat hire at a ~20-person company.
  • The process includes a take-home exercise (24–48 hours to complete) followed by a 60-minute live exercise or presentation of that work.

Compensation & logistics

  • $130k–$170k base + competitive equity
  • Remote within the United States — San Francisco or Austin preferred, and hybrid 3 days a week if you're local to one of them
  • No visa sponsorship is available — you must already be authorized to work in the US. (Paraform additionally lists visa transfers for this client; if you'd need a transfer, flag it with us before applying so we can confirm.)
  • Intro call is with the CEO
