Product Engineer (Full-Stack)
About the company
Our client is a pre-seed AI startup in New York, backed by the founders of several unicorns, building AI voice agents that run live B2B sales calls end to end. The agents qualify prospects, answer detailed product questions, demo the product live by driving a browser while they talk, and follow up until the deal closes. The company turned on revenue recently and scaled it sharply within days of launch, with more demand than they can currently serve. They are building core IP around browser use rather than orchestrating existing tools.
The role
This is the first engineering hire outside the founding team, and the seat is deliberately broad. You would build the backend services behind live AI sales calls, develop the browser-use agent that navigates and demos real products while the AI is speaking, and ship UI in Next.js and React where it is needed. You would work directly with design partners to shape the product, and with the founders daily. The team is small and explicitly wants individual contributors who make decisions without a product-manager layer.
What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs behind live AI sales calls — session state, integrations, data pipelines
- Develop the browser-use agent that navigates and demos real products live while the AI talks
- Work directly with design partners to shape the product and feed custom work back into core
- Build LLM-powered workflows: prompts, tool use and the agentic flows the agent follows during live demos
- Ship UI in Next.js and React where needed, watch real calls, and iterate fast
