Product Manager, AI
About the company
Our client is a profitable, fast-growing healthcare technology company in the San Francisco Bay Area, building what they describe as the best care experience in healthcare on a thirty-year horizon. They reached eight-figure annual revenue inside their first two years, are backed by a well-known set of investors, and were founded by product and engineering leaders who came from several of the largest consumer technology companies. The team is around thirty people and deliberately small for the revenue it carries — the culture they describe is deep thinking, speed, craftsmanship, and putting patients first.
The role
This is a senior individual-contributor product role owning AI-native products from zero to one. What makes it unusual is the access: rather than working behind a ticket queue, you sit with the operations team and with the clinicians who use the software, and you are expected to be out in the field with real users. The company runs a product-operations model, so the job is as much about understanding a messy, multi-stakeholder clinical workflow as it is about shipping. You would own agentic AI products end to end, and the bar is that you have already shipped that kind of product to production — this is not a first AI role.
What you'll do
- Own AI-native, agentic products from zero to one — discovery through production and iteration
- Sit with the operations team and practising clinicians, and go into the field with the people using the product
- Translate process-heavy, multi-stakeholder clinical workflows into software that holds up in the real world
- Prototype your own ideas rather than handing them off — spec, mock and build enough to make the case
- Work directly with engineering on tooling and architecture trade-offs, as a technically literate counterpart
- Set the product direction for the AI surface area, with the autonomy that comes with a team of this size

Submit Your InfoNice to have
- Healthcare, clinical or care-delivery domain experience — a real plus, but not a requirement
- A big-tech-to-startup path specifically building AI agent products
- Experience in another operationally complex industry such as legal or field services
- You have carried a product through a pivot or a fast growth curve, not just a steady roadmap
Tech stack
Agentic AI systems and LLM tooling, modern prototyping and vibe-coding tools, and the analytics and workflow systems that sit around a clinical operations product. You are not expected to write production code, but you are expected to be fluent enough to argue about the stack.
