Product Manager, Supply Chain
About the company
Our client is a Series A startup building operations software for advanced hardware manufacturers — aerospace, robotics and energy. Their platform is an API-first operating system for the factory floor: production workflows, parts tracking, supply-chain procurement and quality control. Founded in 2019 with roots in the commercial space industry, they have raised over $34M and are around fifty people, headquartered in El Segundo, Los Angeles. Their customers are the companies building rockets, eVTOLs, micro nuclear reactors, autonomous vehicles and robots.
The role
You would own a brand-new supply-chain vertical inside the product, end to end and from scratch: procurement, inventory management, traceability, vendor management, and BOM/MRP. It is a genuinely greenfield brief with a lot of autonomy — expect factory-floor visits to customers, direct work with engineering, and using AI tools to prototype and occasionally push code yourself. Depending on seniority you would report to the CEO/CPO or to the lead product manager, and there is a real path from owning this vertical to managing a team; the current lead PM followed exactly that route. One thing worth knowing: the client's own priority is manufacturing signal. They will take someone who has lived in supply-chain operations without a product-management title, and they say plainly that they can teach the software side.
What you'll do
- Own a greenfield supply-chain vertical end to end — procurement, inventory, traceability, vendor management and BOM/MRP
- Spend real time on customer factory floors, and bring what you see back into the roadmap
- Write technical specs from complex domain logic, and build functional prototypes with AI-assisted tools
- Align engineering, design, sales and customers around what gets built
- Grow the vertical into a team as it matures

Submit Your InfoNice to have
- All three of manufacturing experience, supply-chain exposure and a software-engineering background — the client's ideal profile
- Deep familiarity with procurement workflows, BOM/MRP, inventory allocation or traceability
- Real experience implementing a Manufacturing Execution System — the product is MES-adjacent and this specifically excites the team
- A background at a hard-tech or advanced-manufacturing company in aerospace, defence, energy, robotics or automotive
- Product-management experience shipping features end to end, from research through launch
Tech stack
React on the frontend, Python on the backend, SQL/PostgreSQL, AWS and APIs, alongside ERP systems such as NetSuite and SAP, plus MES, PLM and AI-assisted prototyping tools. The client is explicitly agnostic about how proficient you already are in any of these — you do not need to arrive knowing this stack.
