About the company

Our client is a real-time data and intelligence platform for private markets, serving 300+ VC, PE, corporate innovation, fund analyst, and M&A customers. The product combines live company data with AI-driven analysis so investment teams can source, evaluate, and win private-market deals. Around 30 people today, $10M raised, headquartered in London.

The role

You'll build the production infrastructure powering the platform's agentic AI capabilities — a Python and FastAPI-heavy role spanning APIs, AI orchestration, databases, embeddings and vector search. The engineering team is small and scaling fast, so this is as much about setting the technical bar as it is about shipping.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship production-grade backend services and APIs in Python and FastAPI that power the AI features
  • Develop the infrastructure and orchestration layer behind the product's agentic AI capabilities
  • Work closely with Postgres and ClickHouse to enable intelligent data retrieval and AI-driven analysis
  • Mentor teammates and set engineering practices as the team scales from ~7 to 30+ people
