About the company

Our client is a fast-growing open-source AI startup building the web-data infrastructure that LLM teams depend on — APIs that turn messy web content into clean, structured data. They are one of the fastest-growing companies in their category, reached eight figures of ARR inside their first year, and are backed by top-tier investors. The team is small, autonomy is high and there is essentially no bureaucracy — everyone owns a real piece of the product end to end.

The role

This is a senior full-stack engineering role pointed entirely at growth. You would write the code that turns a developer who has just discovered the product into one who cannot work without it. It is explicitly not a marketing role and not a GTM-operations role — it is engineering, and it is measured on metrics moved rather than on features shipped. You would report into revenue leadership as a trusted IC, with no PM layer in between.

What you'll do

Own the growth surfaces end to end: signup, activation, onboarding and conversion
Instrument the funnel, design and run experiments, and ship the changes that move real metrics
Build across the stack, from the frontend a user first touches to the backend behind it
Shape the growth roadmap as a trusted IC, partnering directly with leadership
Join customer calls and help close deals alongside the revenue team

What we're looking for

I have 5 to 12 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with hands-on growth work as an IC at an early- or growth-stage startup
I am proficient with React, TypeScript, Next.js and Node.js
I have owned features full-stack and shipped end-to-end PLG features — onboarding, activation, upgrade prompts — that measurably moved a metric
I have run growth experiments and A/B tests using experimentation frameworks, and analyzed funnels with event tracking and product analytics to find growth levers
I use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude Code as daily infrastructure, not as a novelty
I am a full-stack product engineer — not a frontend-only or backend-only specialist, not a pure research or platform engineer, and not a growth-marketing, SEO, content, lifecycle or GTM-operations profile
I am a trusted IC who can shape a growth roadmap and partner with leadership to ship product
I can work hybrid in San Francisco or the Bay Area
I am authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
