About the company

Our client is a venture-backed telehealth company working on one of the hardest public health problems in the United States: opioid use disorder, the second leading cause of death in adults aged 18 to 59. They provide FDA-approved medication and clinical care remotely — discreet, convenient, and affordable — and have deliberately chosen to serve a population the traditional healthcare system has largely failed, with roughly 70% of patients coming through Medicaid. Over 20,000 patients have accessed treatment so far. The team is around 300 people — physicians, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and former White House advisors — operating in 16 states today, setting new records for weekly patient intake, and approaching profitability with national expansion planned. It's a flat organisation with limited top-down direction and a culture people describe as unusually free of politics and ego.

The role

You'd be a Senior Product Manager building digital products that prove telehealth is the best way to treat opioid use disorder. Product managers here work in a squad-based model, and you'd take full ownership of one of the three squads for the year ahead — Care Platform & Efficiency, State Expansion, or Mature Market Growth — directing that squad's entire body of work rather than a narrow feature area. You'd co-lead alongside engineering and product design under a triadic leadership model, reporting to the CTO as a peer to a Principal Product Manager. If you've come from a larger organisation where product scope tends to be siloed, this is a materially broader remit. You may not have worked in this treatment area before, but you should understand healthcare — outcomes and benchmarks, systems, and regulatory compliance such as HIPAA.

What you'll do

  • Own, develop, and implement the digital product strategy for your squad, co-leading with engineering and product design
  • Translate business goals into product strategy and track the metrics that determine whether it worked
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders from executives to individual contributors — patients, clinicians, operators, marketers, and billers
  • Run experiments with appropriate statistical rigor, then study and share the outcomes and learnings
  • Champion and develop the product roadmap, capturing high-level concepts and improvements, and share it broadly
  • Ensure a people-centered user experience through user research, feedback, data, and continuous improvement
  • Prioritize work across the business and ensure timely, reliable delivery
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technology, and bring learnings back to the team

Nice to have

  • Direct telehealth, behavioral health, or addiction-care product experience
  • Experience with EMR platforms or patient-facing portals
  • Applying AI to clinical or care-coordination workflows
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, payer contracts, or health-plan coverage
  • A former engineering background

Before you apply

  • The compensation band is fixed at $190k–$200k. Salaries target the 50th percentile of market with no premium for different locations — the trade is mission, scope, and ownership rather than top-of-market cash.
  • The level is strictly Senior PM. Directors and more junior PMs aren't a match for this particular opening.
  • The process includes a 3–4 hour case study built on a prep prompt, followed by walking the team through your findings. It should be highly data-driven, and the panel includes the CTO. This is the stage where most candidates drop off — go in ready to defend decisions with data.
