About the company

Our client is a seed-stage AI and gaming company in Los Angeles building the licensed data layer for AI world models. They capture high-fidelity multimodal data — video, 3D scenes, depth, telemetry, and metadata — directly at the game-engine level, and deliver it to frontier AI labs as rights-cleared datasets. Founded in 2025 and funded by a $6M seed led by a top-tier Silicon Valley venture firm, the team is around 15 to 20 people with a flat structure. You would report directly to the CTO and co-founder.

The role

This is the forward-deployed technical seat between the company and its partner game studios. You'd own custom engine integrations end to end — mapping a partner's proprietary rendering pipeline, shipping live capture against it, and keeping it working across game patches and engine updates. Every new partner, game, and engine is a fresh architecture problem rather than maintenance of somebody else's system. Alongside the integration work you'd harden the core C++ capture SDK and desktop client for long-term robustness. The team has already cut the time to support a new game from about a week to roughly 30 minutes, and the SDK group is two people today, so there is room to grow into leading it.

What you'll do

  • Own custom engine integrations end to end — from mapping a partner's proprietary rendering pipeline to shipping live capture and maintaining it across patches and engine updates
  • Architect and build a solution for every new partner, game, and engine
  • Act as the forward-deployed technical point of contact alongside partner engineering teams
  • Improve and harden the core capture SDK and desktop client for long-term robustness
  • Extend tooling for the modder ecosystem
  • Optimize performance across capture, upload, and processing pipelines running multiple simultaneous data streams
