About the company

Our client is a seed-stage consumer livestream platform based in San Francisco. Their product lets music artists — and increasingly athletes and entertainers — earn money by going live for their fans, with the audience listening, reacting and taking part rather than just watching. The longer-term ambition is participatory livestreaming across every creative vertical, not only music. Founded in 2024, the team is around eight people and has raised roughly $1.5M to date.

The role

This is the commercial seat that owns getting talent onto the platform, and it is a build rather than a maintain. You would own the entire creator acquisition pipeline end to end — sourcing, warm and cold outreach, the pitch, the close, and the creator's first stream — against a concrete near-term goal of doubling the number of creators earning $2,000+ a month by Q1. The work is deliberately multi-channel: AI prospecting tools, Instagram DMs, cold email, referral networks, and showing up in person at festivals, conferences and artist meetings. You would start as an individual contributor building the function hands-on, with the opportunity to grow and manage a team as the company scales.

What you'll do

  • Build and own the end-to-end creator acquisition pipeline — sourcing, warm and cold outreach, pitch, close and first stream — with the goal of doubling the number of creators earning $2,000+ per month by Q1
  • Design and scale outbound systems using AI tools, social channels (Instagram especially), cold email and warm referral networks to acquire high-profile hosts across music, sports and entertainment
  • Own and grow the referral and partnership program — activating not just individual creators but talent management companies, creator networks and other centers of gravity that unlock larger pools of talent
  • Structure custom deals (guarantees, splits, exclusivity) to close household-name athletes, music artists and entertainers onto the platform
  • Own each new host's first stream experience — promotion, stream setup, and a clean handoff to the Creator Relations team for ongoing success
  • Travel domestically at least once a month to music conferences, festivals, artist compounds and in-person meetings
  • Start as an individual contributor building the function hands-on, with the opportunity to grow and manage a team as the company scales

Nice to have

  • An existing network in music, sports or entertainment — the stronger the network you start with, the stronger the start
  • Personally closed deals with creators, musical artists or athletes, with the revenue to show for it
  • 0→1 GMV or revenue growth at an early-stage company (0→$30M counts for more than joining at $100M and adding $30M)
  • Background at a creator platform, marketplace, record label, management company or creator network
  • Experience running or scaling a referral or partnership program that activates talent managers and creator networks
  • Already based in Los Angeles or San Francisco

Tech stack

AI prospecting tools including Claude, Instagram DMs, cold email outreach platforms, and a CRM.

Compensation & logistics

  • $140k–$160k base plus uncapped commission, plus competitive equity
  • The client has indicated flexibility on base for the right candidate, and commission is uncapped, so top performers can exceed the range
  • Full-time and hybrid in San Francisco — 2 days per week in person; Los Angeles-based candidates are considered if willing to relocate, and relocation support is likely for the right person
  • Domestic travel at least once a month — music conferences, festivals (e.g. SXSW), artist meetings and in-person pitches
  • Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers, as well as candidates who need no sponsorship
  • 4–5+ years of experience — the client is explicit that this is not an entry-level seat
  • One hire
