About the company

Our client is a Series B consumer AI platform in the San Francisco Bay Area where anyone can create and share playable games and interactive experiences without writing code. The team describes itself as an interactive content platform and an AI lab rather than a gaming company. It launched in 2025, already has tens of millions of users, has been roughly doubling every few months, and is backed by a well-known set of investors. The company is still around twenty-five people, so this hire builds a function close to from scratch and reports to the CEO.

The role

You would own product growth for the creator side of a two-sided marketplace — the counterpart to the player-side growth lead — from a creator's first visit through to their first published experience. It is close to four jobs in one: part product manager, part designer, part data scientist and part engineer. This is not a role about writing specifications and managing projects. You are expected to build your own mockups and prototypes with AI coding tools to test ideas quickly, then partner with front-end engineers to take the winners to production, and to spend real time with creators in a large community channel turning their feedback into iterations.

What you'll do

  • Own product growth for the creator ecosystem, from first visit to first published game, and ship experiments that move the key metrics
  • Build your own mockups and prototypes with AI coding tools, then partner with front-end engineers to take the winners to production
  • Analyse data sets, run A/B tests, and turn user behaviour into growth strategies for creator acquisition and engagement
  • Work directly with creators in a large community channel and turn their feedback into feature iterations
  • Work across engineering, design and data to shape the product roadmap

Nice to have

  • Worked as a software engineer before moving into product, or can show shipped side projects
  • Experience on creator-side or two-sided platforms — user-generated content, games or marketplaces
  • Experience at a well-known consumer company where the work you shipped is publicly visible
  • A degree from a top computer-science program
  • Former founder of a consumer product who can explain clearly what they built
  • A/B tests and data analysis in SQL or Python, named in a dated role
  • Has worked on creator monetization or creator tools

Tech stack

Product analytics tools, SQL and Python for data work, A/B testing frameworks, and AI prototyping tools for building mockups quickly. Front-end engineers take the winning prototypes to production, so the bar here is being technical enough to build the first version yourself rather than shipping the final one.

Compensation & logistics

  • $165k–$250k base plus a 20% performance bonus that has historically paid between 25 and 33%, plus meaningful equity
  • On-site in Palo Alto four days a week, with Wednesdays worked from home
  • No visa sponsorship of any kind and no visa transfers — candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not need visa sponsorship or a visa transfer now or in the future
  • One hire, wanted as soon as possible, reporting to the CEO
  • Offers expire 48 hours after they are made, so say early if you are in other late-stage processes
  • Interview process: a 30-minute screen with the head of talent, a 30-minute intro call with the CTO, a 60-minute product round with probability questions, a data set to interpret and a live mockup build, then a full-day on-site of four to five interviews, lunch with people outside the panel and a closing values conversation with the CEO; a decision follows the next day
  • Full-time
