Senior Product Engineer

About the company

Our client is a developer-tools startup building CI infrastructure and background coding agents that engineers use every day. They set a high bar for user experience in products built for engineers.

The role

You would own entire product surfaces end to end, from early ideation and systems design through shipping and iterating with customers. That includes the company's background coding agent, which lets engineers delegate coding tasks to AI. You would work closely with the founders to validate ideas and bring them to market in days, not months.

What you'll do

• Own product surfaces end to end, from ideation and systems design to shipping and iteration
• Build next-generation developer tools, including a background coding agent
• Work with the founders to formulate, validate and launch product ideas quickly
• Make architectural and systems design decisions across the full stack
• Prototype AI-powered features, owning everything from prompt design to backend service to UI
• Ship polished, high-performance surfaces across analytics, observability and agent platforms

Nice to have

• Experience at a developer tools or infrastructure startup
• Familiarity with APIs, SDKs or developer-facing tooling

Tech stack

React, TypeScript, Go, Firecracker, GitHub Actions and LLMs.

Compensation & logistics

• $200k–$300k base + competitive equity
• On-site five days a week in New York
• No visa sponsorship: open only to candidates already authorized to work in the US who will not need sponsorship now or in the future
